Answer: Before we get into details on this specific Sadari, one should know the entire rationale of visiting to any temple. Normally, according to Vedic Agama Sasthra, a temple is constructed at a strategic location where the North-South magnetic currents are passing through in high density. On finding a location, they do the silanyarasm with a copper plate imbibed with some specific scripts and mantras that relate to the temple. Then they energize the the copper plate with certain counts of Japa that matters to the Main Deity of the Temple. After this they perform some sort of Homam and poojas to the Copper plate before installing it beneath the Main Idol of the temple. This copper is said to receive the magnetic value from the thrust of the earths rotation via the north-south poles magnetic beams. Then they install the main Idol as per the Agama sashtra. The size of the moolavar sannidhi, gauge, size and thickness of the copper plate, the height below the Idol where it is to be placed are all decided upon the Main Idols height and the availability of current at the location of the Temple. Once started, the Temple gets its holy energy which is added by regular chanting and reciting of Archanas and Sookthams at frequent intervals. Thus the surrounding becomes more energized with positive vibrations.
Now coming to the point, by taking clock-wise rounds of Pradakshanam, one receives the beamed energy from the Main Sannidhi, known Moolavar Sannidhi, with specific counts of rounds. By doing so, the body receives the energy lost in a days work. Then the vessel containing the Holy water, which is of mixed with Tulsi, Cardamom, Clove, benzoine etc. is placed at a place where more receptive of the magnetic values are absorbed by the copper vessels. The holy water thus gets the medicinal plus magnetic values. Combined with the Praddakshanam, this water consumption to the limit of three spoons boosts the energy level. It should be in a limited quantity to get the value and if taken more than the specified quantity then it is counter productive. On getting the Holy water, the Sadari known as the Holy Feet of the Lord is placed on the head of the devotee. The Archaka should stand from a specific point and offer this. By getting the Sadari, the energy is leveled; while taking rounds, if the body gets excessive energy then it is revibrated back to the sannidhi and if in less then it is absorbed to the needed level from the Sannidhi. Added to this, the devotees too feel much of getting the divine blessings of the Lord through the Sadari. (Sadari – The HOLY feets, Chappel, sandal etc). You can get more details from this link on temple visits. Oh, you have not specified about your temple – which one?
