Paruppu – Dal: Any kind of legume–beans, peas, or lentils
Dosai – Dosa: Crispy, crepe-like southern Indian specialty filled with potatoes or vegetables
Idli – Steam cooked cakes made of Rice flour & Black gram 

Nei – Ghee: Clarified butter
Morr – Lassi: A refreshing, creamy yogurt drink that can be plain, sweet or salty
Pakoda – Pakora: Fritter dipped in a spicy chickpea batter; can be made with vegetables
Appalam, Pappadum: Spicy lentil wafers
Poori: Airy, deep-fried bread
Rasam: A thin, spicy broth
Keerai Koottu – Saag: Spinach, but can also refer to other greens
Sambar: An extremely spicy thick liquid broth popular in southern India
Payasam – Made of Milk, Sugar & cooked rice – a sweet item

Kadambam – made of Mixed vegetable, cooked rice and spices.

Born on Makara Uthiradam star, native of Mukkur and brought up in Ladavaram village near Arcot and now well settled in Mumbai for over five decades. Presently, at 70, trying to run this website without any commercial expectations or profit motive, just for the sake of our future generations to understand about Sanatana Dharma & Srivaishnavam sampradayam.Within my limited knowledge that I put it here, what I learnt from the world.
